Activities
The SRA is often involved with a variety of activities and projects, that can be community wide or limited to a specific location or issue.
For example:
- Changes initiated by the Shire, State or Local Government
- Problems with infrastructure such as drains, roads, beach access pathways
- Hazardous vegetation which although reported has had no satisfactory response.
Representatives of the SRA meet regularly with Shire Officers and from time to time, business leaders. When informed about an issue or concern that impacts on Somers and its residents the SRA will make representation to the relevant decision makers, verbally or by correspondence.
Requests for specific project funding or road maintenance may take a long time but generally the success rate in the past has been good.
This page will keep you informed of SRA activities and projects, and their outcomes.
